Light Hill/Canandaigua Comfort Care Home Inc.
1. Hands On Care: We are a 2-bed comfort care home supporting those at end of life at no cost to them or their families. Hands On Care volunteers support our residents in daily care tasks 24/7. 2-hour and 4-hour shifts available, training is provided. 2. LIGHT[the]HILL: Our annual luminaria celebration at Kershaw Park held the first Saturday in Nov. We set up over 2,000 lights in memory/honor of loved ones across the lake front. Volunteers needed for set up and take down day of as well as tasks leading up to the event Oct-Nov. 3. Spring Flower Sale: Annually the first Monday in March we cut and arrange over 5,000 bouquets at Stella's then deliver them to area businesses. Digital Literacy of Literacy Rochester has been working with public libraries and education partners in Wayne and Ontario counties to offer a helping hand to community members who do not have consistent access to and familiarity with digital technology. Our mission is to help our community gain confidence and understanding of online and software resources. With our help, our customers become better informed and better connected. We provide one-to-one assistance for individuals seeking help with learning computer skills and resolving challenges like web access, completing online forms or applications, and other computer-essential tasks.
