Seeking volunteers for a variety of opportunities. Year-round troop leaders for all age levels, ranging from Kindergarten-12th grade, needed as well as volunteers who have more limited availability. Only have a few hours?? We have opportunities for volunteers to facilitate 4-6 session series programs on topics such as healthy living, financial literacy, and building life skills such as decision making and leadership. Only available to help 1 day? We need volunteers who can offer time for day events. Want to volunteer during summer break? We need help with summer programs too. Opportunities in communities across 24 counties in NY - for both local students as well as those who may travel back to “home” during the summer. Girls on the Run of Greater Rochester

We are looking for volunteer coaches for our spring teams (starting March 18) in Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, and Livingston counties, each team needs 2-3 coaches. You will: Serve as a role model for program participants in 3rd-5th or 6th-8th grades; Prepare, organize, supervise 2x/weekly lessons for the 10 week season; Each practice is 1.5 hrs long; Collaborate with other coaches for successful lesson delivery; Facilitate communication with parents/guardians; Participate and help coordinate your site based Girls on the Run 5k. Qualifications include a desire to work with children and an interest in health - physical, emotional, and mental! Opportunities are available in Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, and Livingston counties. Also need volunteers for our Spring 5K on June 1st at MCC! Half-day commitment, approximately 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. There are many roles available. Groups are welcome! (Updated 2/2024)

We provide temporary lodging for adult family members who have traveled 50+miles because a loved one is receiving care at a local hospital for a serious medical condition. HOSPITALITY TEAM: friendly, supportive people to help staff the house. Shifts are generally 1-3 hours, & can be done weekly, monthly or occasionally. During your shift, you may be asked to do some light housekeeping. The purpose of the position is to be warm & welcoming to the families. If you have computer, marketing or social networking skills, we have projects that can be done during your shift in these areas. We hope you will consider being part of our Harbor House family. Hospeace House, Inc

Hospeace House is a two-bed comfort care home. We provide 24-hour care for terminally ill residents and their families. We are seeking volunteers for resident care in 4-hour shifts at your convenience. No experience is necessary; we will provide all of the training you need with the hands-on shadowing of another trained volunteer. Forget what you think the end of life might look like – there is a whole lot of life being lived in those last months. (Updated 2/2024)

House of John is a two-bed Comfort Care Home for the terminally ill and their families. Potential residents must have a life expectancy of 3 months or less. We open our house, our hearts and our hands to those who need physical care and emotional support as they approach the end of their lives. Students, especially those in Health Care Studies, Human Services, Massage Therapy/ Integrative Health, Nursing, and Psychology, are encouraged to get involved. Volunteers are an essential component.
