Canandaigua is known for its tourism and has a thriving downtown business district with a variety of locally-owned shops, galleries, and restaurants. It also has plenty of outdoor space to rest and relax, such as parks, nature trails, and beaches.
As a Laker, you'll benefit from the College's role in the community and gain access to activities at our regional facilities, including:
- ArtSpace36 — an art gallery located on Main Street in downtown Canandaigua
- East Hill Campus — an outdoor campus for camping, hiking, wildlife, and nature classes in Naples
- Muller Field Station — a nature preserve and research station located near Honeoye Lake
- Viticulture and Wine Center — a teaching winery and vineyard with an on-site enology lab, aging rooms, and kitchen
FLCC partners with many local businesses, including some of the top-rated food and hospitality locales (such as New York Kitchen and The Lake House). These community partnerships provide internships, real-world training, and networking opportunities.
