How to Register for Classes
Below you will find instructions on course registration based on your student status.
Step 1: Apply to FLCC
If you haven't already, submit your admissions application for the upcoming term. Our application is free and takes minutes to complete.
Step 2: Complete New Student Registration
Once you're admitted to FLCC, you'll be able to schedule your New Student Registration (NSR) appointment. You'll meet with an advisor to select your courses and learn how to register.
To sign up for your NSR meeting, log in to MyFLCC using your FLCC username and password. Select a date and time that works for you.
Step 3: Browse our Preparing to Attend Webpage
We've created a convenient check list of information and to-do items to help you prepare for your first semester with FLCC.
Step 1: Meet with Your Academic Advisor
As a current student, you are required to meet with your academic advisor each semester before registering for classes. To find your advisor, log in to Starfish.
If you've already met with your advisor and your advising hold is lifted, you can begin registration. If you have questions, please contact AACTS@flcc.edu.
Step 2: Log In to MyFLCC
Use your FLCC username and password to log in to MyFLCC. If you need assistance contact the IT Helpdesk at (585) 785-1419 or helpdesk@flcc.edu.
Step 3: Search for Courses and Build Your Schedule
- Select 'Student Planning' and begin a 'Search for Courses.' Use the "filter results" section to determine class availability based on location or format.
- Select 'View Available Sections' and choose the course section you want. Choose 'Add Section to Schedule' and then select 'Add Section' to confirm your choice.
- Select 'Academics' and then 'Register for Classes.' You will now be on the Schedule View. You should see the sections you've added, along with any course recommendations from your advisor.
- Carefully review your schedule to ensure your course days, times, formats, and locations are correct.
- Select 'Register Now' to register for all your courses at once. Classes that are successfully registered will turn from yellow to green. Online classes will appear at the bottom of your schedule.
For detailed instructions on finding the courses you want, review our Search and Register Guide.
Easy Re-Enrollment within 6 Years
If you’ve been away from the college for more than three semesters but less than six years, you do not need to reapply to FLCC. You can re-matriculate easily by completing our re-matriculation application.
If you’ve been away from the college for more than six years, please complete a new admissions application for the term you wish to begin.

- Your name

Finalize Your Registration
To officially complete the registration process, you must complete the tasks below.
New York State residents are required to provide proof of residency annually, which verifies you have been a NYS resident for one year prior to registration. This allows us to understand your current residency status and bill you appropriately. For example, if you register for classes without a valid Certificate of Residence on file, you will be charged an out-of-county tuition premium.
We're proud to offer quality course instruction at a cost that makes pursuing an education accessible and affordable. In many cases, our visiting students pay less for coursework at FLCC than they do at their home institution.
For more information about the cost of a specific course, visit Cost of Attending FLCC. Expenses vary depending on your full- or part-time credit status, where you live, course fees, and other factors.
Access Your Bill
View your bill in MyFLCC and pay it online by the date indicated. We encourage you to learn more about electronic bills and the College's refund policies.
Financial Aid
Current degree-seeking FLCC students should talk with the One Stop Center to inquire about the availability of aid for classes.
In order to attend in-person classes or participate in on-campus activities, you must submit proof you are up-to-date on vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) and Meningococcal Meningitis (or complete a waiver form).
COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly encouraged for students, which is consistent with other viruses, including influenza and mpox.
- Current or returning student? Upload your immunizations in the Student Health Portal.
- Not an FLCC student? Once you have registered for classes you will have access to the Student Health Portal within MyFLCC. The Student Health Portal is where you will upload your immunization records to fulfill this requirement.
