Undocumented Students

In 2019, the Jose Peralta New York State DREAM Act was passed, removing the barrier between undocumented students and access to state aid. Finger Lakes Community College is committed to ensuring all students receive an affordable college education.

Financial Aid

The DREAM Act allows eligible undocumented students to apply for the following state financial aid:

The Act also establishes a DREAM fund commission to raise private funds for merit awards for immigrant applicants from the state and allows families to start a 529 college savings account using an I-TIN.

An online application for state aid is available through the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC).
