ESL coursesA Regional Hub for Arts & Culture
Everyone should have the opportunity to experience the transformative power of the arts. By organizing cultural events, fine dining, live performances, and more year-round, FLCC serves as a vibrant hub for Finger Lakes arts and culture.
FLCC plays a vital role in enhancing the regional performing arts scene through its dynamic programs and initiatives. By offering a range of performances that include theater productions, concerts, and more, we provide valuable opportunities for local artists and students to showcase their talents.
Finger Lakes Community College extends its impact on the arts by making significant contributions to the visual arts and creative writing sectors. Through initiatives like Artspace36, an FLCC gallery located in downtown Canandaigua, the college showcases the works of student, faculty, and local artists. This gallery serves as a vibrant platform for emerging artists to gain exposure and engage with the community, nurturing talent and inspiring creativity.
In addition to visual arts, FLCC also boasts a robust literary scene, exemplified by its literary journal, Bare Hill Review. This publication provides a space for aspiring writers to explore and publish their work, encompassing poetry, short stories, and essays. By supporting these creative avenues, FLCC not only enriches the local cultural landscape but also provides valuable opportunities for artistic expression and growth.
