Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available at the main Finger Lakes Community College campus in Canandaigua. There are six dual-port charging stations located in the G lot, which FLCC shares with the CMAC concert venue off Route 364.

EV Charging Stations

Charging stations are available for employee, student, and public use.

  • Employees and students who would like to use the stations for free can request an EV charging fob. Vehicles can charge for a maximum of four hours, after which they should be moved to allow others access.

To gain free charging access, follow these steps:

    1. Complete the request form and return it to Student Accounts.
    2. Purchase the non-refundable, cash-only, $5 fob from Student Accounts.
    3. Download the EVoke app on a smart device.
    4. Sign up using your FLCC email address.
    5. Add your EV fob number.
  • Visitors pay 45 cents per kilowatt-hour (kWh) to use the EV charging stations during operating hours. The stations can be used for a maximum of four hours. Once the four-hour charge limit has been reached, vehicles should be relocated as soon as possible to allow others access.

Download the EVoke app on a smart device and register to get started. The app provides seamless payment processing, charging status updates, real-time availability, and more.

    Charging Station Reminders

    • Do not leave the air conditioning or heat on while the vehicle charges.
    • Do not unplug another vehicle if the charging station is occupied.
    • Do not exceed the four-hour charging limit.
    • Prevent injury and damage to the charging cord by winding the charging cord neatly onto the station.
    • Understand that vehicles violating FLCC parking rules and regulations are subject to fines and/or impoundment.
