Our Adult Basic Education programs can help you improve your basic reading, writing, and math skills. Earn your high school diploma and enhance your English language skills for free at FLCC.

Who Should Take Adult Basic Education Courses?

Our adult basic education courses are designed for the following student populations:

  • Adults who did not complete high school and want to earn a diploma
  • Non-English speaking adults who want to learn the language
  • International students who want to prepare for the TOEFL iBT exam

High School Equivalency (HSE)

FLCC's free non-credit HSE courses will help you improve your basic skills and prepare you to earn your General Equivalency Diploma (GED). Successful completion of the GED leads you to earn your HSE diploma from the New York State Education Department.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
