Academic Advising
As you pursue your studies, we are here to help you make decisions about your academic and career goals, degree choice, course selection, and transfer opportunities. During your time at FLCC, our academic advisors will work with you to understand your program of study or major, explore your interests, and develop an educational plan to achieve your goals.
For new students, our team will meet with you during your New Student Registration appointment. We'll ensure your chosen program aligns with your goals, help you build a first semester schedule, and review any incoming credits you may have.
Career Services
Making career and educational choices involves detailed planning and decision-making. If you need assistance with this process, our Career Services office will help you prepare for your job search, and we will connect you to employment opportunities.
Placement Testing
Placement tests are used to place you in the most appropriate classes for your skill level, educational path, and goals. For assistance with choosing the right language course for your skill level, check out our World Languages Placement Guide.
Transferring to Four-Year Colleges and Universities
Transferring from one college to another involves researching four-year schools, planning courses, and making decisions about your future. To help you navigate this process, we will provide you resources, guidance, and opportunities to attend transfer events.
