Environmental Conservation and Horticulture Department

FLCC offers associate degrees and certificates in environmental conservation, horticulture, and viticulture. Upon completing a degree program, students have the option of entering the job market or transferring to a four-year college or university.

Field Work Opportunities

Extensive field experiences in the Finger Lakes Region, the Adirondack Mountains, the Florida Everglades, and various national parks are part of all degree programs. Other unique features include a conservation field camp emphasizing wildlife, fish, and land management; a 250-acre campus with a nature trail where outdoor classes are held; a College arboretum; a greenhouse; three large boats for fisheries and limnology fieldwork on the Finger Lakes; the Muller Field Station at the south end of Honeoye Lake, which includes a fish culture center; and the East Hill Campus in Naples.
