19 students share their art with the community.
ArtSpace36 will open an exhibit of work by 19 Finger Lakes Community College students on Thursday, Oct. 16.
The public is invited to an opening reception from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the ArtSpace36 gallery at 36 S. Main St., in downtown Canandaigua.
The Student Portfolio Show is a biannual exhibition held each fall and spring semester. It features the work of student artists in the fine arts and graphic design degree programs. All participating students are enrolled in the Portfolio Prep Capstone course, which represents the culmination of their academic journey and artistic development.
Student exhibitors are Hannah Cowan, Leah Stohs, Lauren Tang, Lauren Turner, Elise Wideman, Zach Abraham, Brooks Calviera, Chloe Cornett, Adyson Curley, Harry Eastwick, Jade Guadalupe, Griffin Miller, Natalie Mix, Emma Moore, Charlize Osbourne, Nataliia Proskurnia, Orien Reish, Payton Roselli, Zoe Ruben (who created the image above).
The exhibit continues through Thursday, Dec. 18. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Visitors are also welcome to tour the adjoining Gallery 32, operated by the Ontario County Arts Council.
