What can we help you find?

Re-Enroll at FLCC

Had to put college on hold? That’s okay. FLCC can help you finish what you started. If you’ve been away six years or less, you don’t need to submit a new college application. Fill out a one-page re-matriculation form, and you’re on your way.

A Simple Path Back

College is rarely a one-and-done journey. Life can take detours, and FLCC is here to get you back on track toward your degree and career dreams. We’re committed to giving you the support you need, from flexible classes and tutoring to one-on-one guidance and more.

Returning after more than 6 years away? Not a problem. You can reapply to FLCC and speak with an admissions counselor to discuss how your previous college credits can be applied.

Support for Returning Students

Returning to college after some time away can feel like a big step, but you’re not on your own. We have a dedicated team to make your transition back as smooth as possible. From the moment you show interest in returning, we’ll support you with services designed just for you.

Personal Advising

Every returning student is paired with an academic advisor who understands the needs of adult learners and returning students. Your advisor will review your remaining degree requirements with you, help you make a semester-by-semester plan, and continue to check in regularly.

Tutoring & Academic Support

We have friendly writing tutors, math tutors, and study skills coaches who work with many adult students returning after a break.

Flexible Learning for Busy Schedules

As a returning student, you’re likely balancing college with other responsibilities. Our goal is to make your course schedule and learning format as convenient as possible for you.

Managing Your Past-Due Balance

If you left FLCC with an unpaid balance or had to stop attending because of financial concerns, don’t let that stop you from finishing your degree. We offer two programs designed to help reduce or defer your student debt, making it easier for you to return to college.

  • The return to finish program is available for students who last attended in Summer 2017 or earlier and have an outstanding debt to the college. If approved for this program, you can re-enroll in courses while your debt is on hold. Once you complete your degree or certificate, we will forgive up to $1,200 of that previous debt.

How to Join the Return to Finish Program

Review the Return to Finish Checklist and contact the One Stop Center to discuss the program. Please call (585) 785-1000 or email onestop@flcc.edu to get started. For more information, view our frequently asked questions.

    Program enrollment deadlines:

    • Complete the Return to Finish Checklist at least 10 business days before the registration deadline.
    • Visit Register for Classes for class registration dates and deadlines.
  • Finances can be challenging. The Debt Deferral Program lets students make payments on overdue debt. If you have a past-due balance from Fall 2017 or later, we can set up a payment plan to help you pay off that balance while returning to classes.
